I received a message from Roger Nupie, president of the International Dr. Nina Simone Fan Club today, 06/30/2003: Dear Aaron, In late eighties I became the president of the International Dr. Nina Simone Fan Club, and I still am. I can only agree with David Nathan's remark on your fantastic website. It is done with great taste and devotion. Thanks for this wonderful and moving tribute to the irreplaceable Dr. Nina Simone. Hopefully, this site will become an important part in helping the growing world-wide recognition of and appreciation for the wonder of Dr. Simone... (*note - 02/10/2005: It has been nearly two years since I first heard from Mr. Roger Nupie when he e-mailed the above message with his comments about the L'hommage website. Since then, I have been in frequent contact with him and I would like to thank him immensely for all the work he has done and all the support he has given me, both with the site and personally. Roger is a wonderful, wonderful man and my greatest resource when it comes to the wonderful Dr. Simone. Without his help L'hommage could never have become what it is today and I consider the success of the site to be as much his as it is my own. His dedication to his dear friend, Dr. Simone, is unparalleled and he deserves the utmost respect and gratitude. Thank you, Roger!)
